Knee Issues?


Do you have knees issue?





Child’s pose is used in many classes as a resting pose. It is a great way to open and soothe tight or tense back muscles. Some people find this pose easily accessible, however if you have issues with your knees, it may be more difficult. Below are some examples of variations that can be done to child’s pose to make is more accessible and comfortable.

· Blanket under your knees – place a folded blanket or towel under your knees. This will add some cushion to your knees.

· Blanket behind knees – Place a folded blanket or towel behind your knees. This is a great option for those who do not have full range of motion in the knee joint.

· On your back – Roll on to your back and hug your knees into your chest. This is a great option if putting pressure on your knees is uncomfortable.

There are many variations to yoga poses to help make them accessible to your body and needs.
