If you’ve been around Hippie for a bit, you know I’m pretty honest in class.
So we’re just going to keep that same energy going into April.
In April, I’m sharing April’s Hot Takes on Yoga…aka things your yoga teacher might be thinking but doesn’t always say out loud.
And we’re starting with this one:
Yoga doesn’t fix everything.
I know… not exactly the inspirational quote you’d put on a t-shirt.
But it’s true.
Yoga is powerful. It can help you feel better in your body, move with less pain, breathe a little easier, and maybe even feel a little more like yourself again.
But it’s not magic.
It doesn’t replace sleep. It doesn’t replace healthy boundries. It doesn’t replace medical care, therapy, or real human connection.
And honestly… it shouldn’t have to.
Because the goal here isn’t to “fix” you.
You are not broken.
Yoga is just one of the tools. A really good one, but still just one.
It’s a place where you can:
move your body in a way that makes sense
take a breath in the middle of a busy life
build strength without beating yourself up
and walk out feeling a little better than when you walked in
Some days that might feel like a big shift. Some days it might just feel like “well… I’m glad I came.”
Both count.
So if you take anything from this week, let it be this:
You don’t need yoga to fix everything. You can just let it support you.
That’s more than enough.
Your only assignment this week:
Come to class and notice how you feel when you leave. Not how hard you worked. Not how deep you stretched.
Just… how you feel.
See you in class,April
