I am so excited to announce that I will be starting my practice of Ayurveda at Hippie Yoga! Many of you have probably heard me talk about studying Ayurveda, well I am finally graduated and can begin to share all of this knowledge with you as an Ayurvedic Health Consultant.
What is Ayurveda exactly?
Ayurveda, literally translated from Sanskrit is “the science of life,” “the knowledge of living,” or “the art of longevity.” Taking into consideration your unique constitution, or Prakriti, Ayurveda is an ancient system that uses diet, lifestyle, and yoga to bring balance and vitality to your body, mind and spirit. Working with your Prakriti, I build a customized protocol specifically for You, one that you can use to be successful in meeting your personal wellness goals and making changes that are practical and sustainable to begin living your best life.
Ayurveda can address a broad range of health and wellness issues:
Improve your energy levels, digestion, elimination and sleep
Create peace and balance in your current lifestyle and/or workstyle
Compliment any other healing modalities you currently use
Support a change-of-life transition, such as perimenopause or menopause
Deepen your yoga, pranayama, and meditation practice
Provide holistic support to a current or chronic diagnosis
Bolster your natural immunity and vitality
What happens in an Ayurvedic Consultation?
An in-depth health history with evaluation of your constitution and any imbalance you may be experiencing
Ayurvedic tongue and pulse assessment
Assessment of your chakras or subtle energy body
Discussion of your concerns and goals
Report of findings, including your Prakriti or dosha findings
Diet and lifestyle recommendations based on your unique constitution
Personalized daily routine
Yoga asana, pranayama and meditation recommendations based on your constitution
Any additional educational materials I am looking forward to this new journey and sharing the art and science of Ayurveda with my Hippie Yoga Family, friends and the community.
Peace, Love & Ayurveda! Namaste
