Have you ever wanted to try yoga but are nervous about walking into your first class? Do you want to start a new and healthy activity for 2019? Would you like to feel more focused and grounded? Then this 3 part series is a great place to start. Designed with the absolute beginner in mind, over three weeks we will cover the fundamentals of yoga: breathing, relaxation, and the proper alignment in postures. In a safe and relaxed atmosphere you will gain the skills and confidence to walk into a yoga class ready to practice!
Week 1 – Yoga studio etiquette, yoga philosophy, seated poses, breathing techniques, proper body alignment, yoga props, and relaxation
Week 2 – Asana (pose) practice with emphasis on standing (warrior) poses, balance, and back and core strengthening
Week 3 – Putting it all together into a basic asana flow
All you need to bring is an open mind and a yoga mat.
